As an instructor, you’re the face of SmartDance at your settings – with regular groups, fixed times and a concept that has your back.

EVERY WEEK

Teach weekly courses

30–45 minutes per group, right at the nursery, kindergarten or school – in the mornings and early afternoons. Your settings are fixed, so your week is predictable.

HIGHLIGHTS

Dance Week & the big show

You’ll lead Dance Weeks with a final performance and take the stage with your groups at the annual SmartDance Show in front of 600+ people – goosebumps included.

2–3 sentences about you, your dance experience and your availability. A video of you dancing is a plus, not a must.

STEP 2

Meet us & trial lesson

We talk in person, you shadow an experienced instructor and try leading a group yourself – with no pressure at all.

STEP 3

Onboarding & your first course

You get an induction, materials and your regular settings – and then the moment when your first group is waiting for you.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need formal dance training?+
No. What matters is solid dance experience, presence and a way with children. We’ll give you the teaching methods, lesson structure and choreographies – many of our best instructors are career changers.
How many hours a week are possible?+
Anything from a side job with a few mornings to a full timetable is possible. Courses mainly take place in the mornings and early afternoons – we plan your assignments together with you.
Does it work alongside studying or a dance career?+
Very well, in fact. Fixed morning slots leave your evenings and weekends free – for lectures, training or performances. Many in the team combine SmartDance in exactly this way.
What do I need to get started?+
An enhanced criminal record check (we’ll apply for it together with you), reliability and a real enthusiasm for working with children. Everything else – music, materials, concept – is provided by SmartDance.
